Busy New York City private practice physician needs a Personal Assistant to help with both big and small daily tasks. This position would be ideal for a New York-based detailed oriented professional looking for a part-time job.
The Personal Assistant work you will be asked to do may vary and could include, but is not limited, to organizing social calendar, securities research, investment research, maintenance of business equipment, organizing domestic issues like cleaning services, food delivery, business calls and faxes, receipt filing, and receipt submission, human resource functions, decorations, errand running, facilitating vehicle repairs and maintenance, filing, appointments, vacations, travel, dry cleaning, and utilizing and organizing social media and business networking services. Also, you’ll be expected to maintain an assigned Personal Assistant email inbox and check it from time to time outside of the hours you normally work.
The Personal Assistant would primarily work from home, but there may be times when you can work from the physician’s home and/or complete tasks around New York City. Assignments may require you to work out of a Manhattan apartment. You will be expected to complete tasks as they come in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, you may be required to meet with the office manager or physician in Manhattan or other practice locations in the New York area. The Personal Assistant should expect to work 10-20 hours a week. Some days may be busier than others, and there may be stretches of days where there are no tasks to complete. However, the Personal Assistant will be expected to be within reach in case something comes up and will need to be able to complete tasks with short notice.
