Part-Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper—Accounting/Bookkeeping Firm

Your Daily Finances offers accounting and bookkeeping services to small businesses and nonprofits. We are looking to hire a part-time associate to help serve our clients, averaging 8-15 hours per week. This position is usually remote, but could require an occasional in-person meeting. It offers a flexible schedule, so you can continue to support other personal priorities, but most work is required to be done between 9-6, Monday thru Friday.

Responsibilities

· Maintaining the client’s accounting system in QuickBooks, usually QBO, including accurate handling of transactions and any subsidiary ledgers, journal entries, payroll, invoicing clients, and account reconciliations

· Additional tasks, as needed, to handle finances of client. Will include tackling problems as they come up and taking necessary steps to solve them

· Working with those connected to client, including benefit providers, vendors, customers, owners, and others, via email, telephone calls, or online meetings

· Running and evaluating Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and other reports, and recognizing and making needed adjustments

Requirements

· 3 Years’ experience working with QuickBooks (with at least 1 year with QBO)

· 3 Years’ experience with Excel, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and general bookkeeping

· Experience handling payroll, experience with ADP a plus

· Willing to do whatever is needed to handle the financial area for clients, with a desire to serve them well

· Associates degree in accounting or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business

· Ability and desire to work independently, giving time and attention as needed to details, and according to YDF’s standards, procedures, and checklists

· Dedicated office space, computer and high-speed internet to access YDF network, mobile phone

· Additionally, looking for

o Good communication and computer skills

o Experience with a CPA or bookkeeping firm a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
