We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our 35–50-person team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial records and transactions. This is a key role in our organization, and we are looking for someone who is very experienced with Government Construction Accounting, Certified Payroll reporting and is proficient in QuickBooks. The role requires experience in Human Resource Management including 401k administration and Health Insurance administration.
The position offers the option to work remotely 1 day a week, after 90-days.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, work-in-process schedules, and general ledger accounting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial records and documents
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, debits/credits, general ledger accounting, tax regulations, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles and financial concepts
