Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Attorney and Real Estate Broker looking for a part-time paralegal to work from home, primarily. The ideal candidate should be reliable, able to multitask, extremely communicative, highly organized with a strong attention to detail, able to work independently and a true self starter.

Job Responsibilities:

General assistance in real estate transactions for the law firm and brokerage. General assistance and document drafting for estate planning clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Acting as a point of contact between the broker/attorney and her clients (answering phones, taking messages, returning calls and managing text messages)
- Calendar Management: Booking appointments & managing showing requests
- Performing clerical duties such as filing, printing, and scanning
- Managing rental property payments
- Monitoring emails and executing tasks in a timely manner
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality of all client and company information

- Package delivery

- Appointment scheduling

- Marketing management, such as posting on various social media accounts

- Document drafting for legal files (retainers, letters, contract drafts, estate document drafts, court paperwork, etc)

- Manage caseload in MyCase (legal file management system)

Skills & Qualifications:

- 2+ years of real estate and/or estate planning experience
- MUST be fluent in Spanish (must read, write and speak fluently)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to report to office at least once or twice a week, if necessary. (Note: A willingness to come to the office often is a plus)

- Experience with the MLS or MyCase (legal case management system) is a plus.

Additional Job Information:

- Hours: 4 hours daily between the hours of 9AM to 5PM. Applicant’s preferred scheduling will be discussed and once confirmed, will be consistent on a weekly basis throughout term of employment.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
