Paralegal / Secretary

Farzad and Ochoa Family Law Attorneys, LLP is a team of dedicated family law attorneys and a respected family law firm with current offices in Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego.

The firm seeks an experienced family law paralegal or secretary for its Orange County (Costa Mesa) location. If you are a paralegal applying for the position, please submit a copy of your certificate.

The position is full-time employment. Compensation for the position is $27 to $44 per hour (depending on experience). If you have a compensation requirement, and you wish to tell us about it, please include it in your cover letter.

Candidates must possess the following attributes and experiences to apply:

• A minimum typing speed above 60 or more WPM.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of family law experience as a paralegal or secretary.
• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to draft, organize and review legal documents, such as standard judicial council forms, declarations, points and authorities, discovery, and disclosures.
• Ability to prepare attorney for court hearings and trials, including preparation of subpoenas, hearing binders, and the like.
• Ability to maintain an active litigation calendar including docketing deadlines and coordinating meetings.
• Ability to communicate with adverse counsel and the court.
• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products (word, excel, outlook), adobe pro, essential forms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
