We are currently seeking a highly motivated Paralegal - Probate & Business Transactional for our Columbia, SCoffice.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Trusts and estate planning
- Probate work
- Business Transactions
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Document management and analysis
- Client interaction
Candidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:
- Bachelor degree or Paralegal Certification is required
- Three to five years legal experience in a probate, estate planning or Business Transactional practice
- Extensive experience in electronic document discovery, document management and database management
- Knowledge of court and administrative hearing rules and procedures
Candidates should also have the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:
- Ability to prioritize and manage a large work volume in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and employees at all levels of the firm
- Team member who participates in shared office duties and requirements
- Stable employment history
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and other legal software applications
