We are seeking a Paralegal / Office Professional to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to CPA's business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the document intake process prior to CPAs preparing tax returns
- Gather, identify, evaluate & organize tax return documents/information prior to CPAs preparing tax returns
- Communication with clients regarding document intake process
- Maintain & input confidential client information into practice management software
- Monitor reports to track numerous filing deadlines & due date compliance
- Assist with the preparation of various tax forms & documents
- Verbal communication with clients to resolve non-technical client concerns & questions
- Various administrative duties to support the office
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a tax accounting office or as a Office Professional a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
- Willing to learn multiple other accounting specific software products (Ultra Tax & Practice CS).
- Must be comfortable with ALL facets of technology. We are a paperless firm.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail as accuracy is important along with problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
- High School degree: additional qualifications or education will be a plus.
