Outpatient Therapist
Annie Malone Children and Family Services has an exciting opportunity for an Outpatient Therapist!
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Outpatient Therapist is a key member of the outpatient services team that provides assessment (including Individual Education Plan; IEP Service Deliveries), case management, treatment planning, and therapy to children and families that have been accepted into the Parenting and Educational programs.
Annie Malone Children and Family Services strives to improve the quality of life for children, families, older adults, and the community by providing social services, educational programs and advocacy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clinical counseling services to clients with a focus on those affected by trauma. May include individual, family, psychoeducation and/or group therapy in office, school environment or other natural environment
- Complete various assessments and reports such as safety plans, discharge summaries, aftercare plans and follow-up reports as required and in a timely manner
- Formulate and administer treatment plans
- Completes all outcome measurement tools as required
- Provides individual, family, and/or group counseling specific to the needs of the client
- Provides some case management duties
- Responsible for inputting data into case management system
- Provides wrap around services with needed community support to include education and behavioral planning, parenting education support, and helps client develop self-regulation skills and crisis plans
- Attends team and staffing meetings
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external individuals to provide excellent care, customer service, and cooperation
- Assure proper authorizations are in place prior to provision of services
- Maintains client files according to standards and as required by policy and procedures
- Implement and maintain EBP to promote quality assurance
- Completes all required training, including any training hours required by professional licensure board
- Facilitate/participate in parenting education classes and programming
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in social work, counseling or psychology required
- Professional licensure (LMSW, PLPC) within the State of Missouri required, LPC or LCSW preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience in counseling and working with children required
- Eligibility to provide Medicaid Services is a plus
- Must possess a Valid Driver's License
- Must have current auto mobile insurance for transporting clients
- Willingness to obtain a Class E Driver's License within 30 days of hire required
Hours: Monday - Friday; Work hours and schedule may vary depending on clients and Annie Malone Children and Family Service's needs. Hours can include some nights and/or weekends. Therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of patients or sessions per week.
