Junior Account Executive
This is a remote position that would require some in person meetings/travel every once in a while...candidates MUST be located in the Mid-Atlantic Region/more specifically in one of the following states:
- Maryland
- Virginia
- DC
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Delaware
Candidates located in other states will NOT be considered for this position.
Travel requirements could include the following:
- Collaboration/working sessions with the head of sales located in Metro DC
- Periodic US Team/Company meetings (1 - 2 per year)
- Tradeshows/conferences (couple/few times per year)
If you have travel restrictions that would preclude you from the above please don't apply because this is a hard requirement.
Compensation
Base salary starting at $55K and with variable component OTE $100K

Job brief
We are looking for a talented and competitive Junior Account Executive with experience in enterprise software sales, with a desire to level up to Account Executive in six to eighteen months. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Inside Sales Representative / Business Development Representative in the enterprise software industry who is ready to take their career to the next level.
What does a Junior Account Executive do?
The Junior AE will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making 10-20 calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, facilitating discovery calls and demos, scheduling proofs-of-concept (POCs), negotiating and closing deals, and everything that goes along with it.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Team with channel partners to generate new sales opportunities
- Perform effective online demos to prospects
- Building relationships with clients.
- Negotiating deals with clients.
- Closing deals and processing sales transactions.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of the company's products or services.
- Networking to attract potential clients.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience as an inside sales/sales development representative or Account Executive in the enterprise software industry
- Track record of meeting/exceeding performance objectives
- Strong phone presence and experience executing outbound lead generation campaigns
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Experience working with Hubspot or similar CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- BA/BS degree preferred
- Travel: infrequent but when required team collaboration sessions/meetings, on-site customer/prospect meetings and conferences/trade shows
