SalaryBig Easy Biofuel generates raw materials used in the biofuels industry in collaboration with our sister companies, New Orleans & Baton Rouge Cooking Oil Recycling. Founded in 2015, we are employee owned and operated. We specialize in the collection, recycling, filtration, and re-processing of waste vegetable oil (WVO), used cooking oil (UCO). Our product is then used in the production of biodiesel and other various biofuels. We cater to a wide variety of commercial and industrial organizations throughout the Gulf Coast and abroad.
The Operations Technician:
1. Maintains, operates, and monitors all aspects of the process, and equipment associated with, the recycling of UCO/WVO into our final product.
2. Maintains the warehouse, equipment, and trucks in good, clean working condition by way of preventative and corrective maintenance and good cleanliness practices.

A successful candidate will:
1. Be able to lift and carry 50+lbs.
2. Have experience with filtration, pumps, and vacuum pumps.
3. Be self-motivated, conscientious, responsible, and organized.
4. Be able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under stressful conditions.
5. Be fluent in English, reading and writing
Details:
- Job schedule is Monday - Friday. Day-to-day start/finish hours will vary. Candidate must be flexible and be prepared to work early mornings or late evenings.
- Paid Holidays include: Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Mardi Gras.
- Paid Time Off after 1 year of employment.
Please note: This job is paid as a 1099 contractor. Employee must pay their own taxes. No insurance or retirement benefits.
