Perfect Attendance Bonus Eligible! This means each pay period that you achieve perfect attendance, full time employees will receive a bonus of $100, and part-time employees will receive $75! Details of this bonus program will be discussed upon hire.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide each resident with routine daily health services.
Our residents' lives are enhanced when they choose Avamere at Sherwood. They hand their worries over to our helpful, caring staff. We have many services to assist in their well-being including personalized care, memory enhancement workshops, in-house medical imaging, hearing aid and eyeglasses clinic, 24-hour snack and juice bar, and more. They can decorate their living space just the way they like, making it truly their own and a place to call home. We keep our resident's mind and body active during many engaging activities, including Garden Club, spiritual activities, weekly outings, exercise classes, and more.
Responsibilities
Care for residents and assist in updating each resident's service plan
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating
Assist with the Life Enrichment Program and encourage residents to participate in activities
Assist in providing a safe environment for residents
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, calm, and joy
Document and communicate resident changes and complete all reports in a timely manner
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
High-School diploma or equivalent
Must have or obtain (within 30-days of employment) First Aid & CPR Certification
Must have or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment
Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with elders
