Job Description
Responsibilities of Operations Technicians:
- Safely operate the Phoenix unit during testing and extended pilot testing.
- Monitor, record and collect data as necessary during operations of the Phoenix.
- Be active to identify, and resolve issues regarding safety and reliability of the prototype operations as well as future product.
- Conduct regular inspections to make sure the safe and reliable operation of the assets. Proactively provide maintenance to the unit based on manufacturers recommendation on pumps, blower, electrical components etc.
- Follow plant procedures to deal with the equipment upsets, shutdowns, and restarts. Provide input on improving these operations.
- Work in coordination with internal teams and third parties to make working safe and feasible.
- Organize site surveys, gas testing, and other preparations for pilot, extended or EPA testing.
- Monitor the work to make sure that is going in coordination with PTW conditions considering changing conditions.
- Recognize new or emerging issues to make working easy and keep track of log notifications for maintenance.
- Be quick to report any plant defects and observations that may affect the safety of the process or the operation of the plant.
- Provide safety leadership on site and in internal meetings.
- Provide input and development of SOP’s.
- Ensure PTW, SOP and other compliance needs are conducted on job site.
- Perform maintenance on unit as needed.
Qualifications for Engineering Technician:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree as Engineering Technician, or relevant discipline
• 5+ years of experience operating pumps, blowers, electrical equipment
• Safety Culture exposure and leadership
• 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Physically able to perform heavy lifts, work in high heat conditions, work at height and/or confined space.
• Safety training in confined space entry, working at heights, chemical handling preferred.
