Our Operations Technician I will maintain pipeline equipment, learn to operate our process facility use an integrated HMI control system. While in this vital role you will troubleshoot and perform repairs to nonfunctioning pipeline equipment while also maintaining valves, remove pigs and maintain platform deck equipment.

What you will do:
• Operates and maintains pipeline valves.
• Remove pigs from pig receiver.
• Assist mechanic and I&E technician as needed.
• Will be required to complete all mandatory training per Enbridge, PSM and DOT regulations.
• Monitor, maintain process equipment, and perform maintenance on valves compress.
• Assist in lead role in permitting work to be completed on the platform by other technicians and any contractor hired to perform repairs or maintenance on the platforms.
• Be responsible for maintaining communication with process control operator for daily operation and any operational issues.
Who you are:
You have the following experience:
• 1-4 years of operations experience in a production operations or oil gas industry
• A High School Diploma
• Experience working with valves, pumps, and safety devices.
The following are considered assets:
• Prior process or pipeline operating experience.
• Prior experience working on offshore facilities.
• Basic understanding of P&ID's
Working Conditions:
• Will work 12-hour days on a 7&7 schedule reporting to Venice, LA while being housed at an offsite location.
• Will need to be physically able to climb a lot of stairs daily and will be exposed to heat and cold during the different seasons.
• Must be willing to work overtime, extended hours, respond to callouts if needed on days off and work holidays (if holidays fall on your schedule).
• Works daily in an offshore environment on land.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 40 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
