Position Purpose:

The Online Enrollment Specialist supports learning by providing data entry and admissions support for the online student population, as well as registration support for students. This position maintains the integrity and accuracy of enrollment data for potential and current online students.

Work Hours:

Expected equivalency of 40 hours per week, but days/hours may vary as needed. Hybrid or work from home employment will be considered if the candidate can demonstrate the ability to fulfill this role effectively off-site.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with event planning and coordination related to recruitment events for prospective online students.
  • Review applications for acceptance to AU and track scholarships, discounts, and student coding.
  • Process all canceled and deferred applications.
  • Review student progression plans and transfer credit for accuracy.
  • Update applicant files with missing transcript information.
  • Ensure the applicant files in Slate are accurate and meet compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with other Scott Center offices and university departments to improve the online student experience.
  • Coordinate admission interviews for prospective online students.
  • Assist the Associate Dean of Online Enrollment with additional tasks as required.

Essential Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in online higher education preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with remote support teams.
  • Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software; Microsoft Professional suite preferred.
  • Experience with Ellucian's Colleague and Slate systems preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, moving about campus, and computer use.
