Pathways In Education (PIE) is an Alternative Learning Opportunities Program (ALOP) serving grades 9-12 in the Chicago community. Pathways considers the unique needs of every student, allowing access to small group classes, guided independent study, online courses, and experiential learning, to address each student's individual strengths and needs.

Pathways In Education is looking for an Enrollment and Attendance Specialist in the Chicago area with strong administrative support and leadership skills. The Enrollment and Attendance Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
  • Clearly articulate the mission and value of Pathways In Education.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with CPS schools, SOAR and other CPS departments.
  • Create community partnerships for student recruitment and attend community events.
  • Respond to all new inquiries quickly and maintain consistent communication with all students/parents throughout the admissions process.
  • Complete a required number of weekly visits to CPS schools and community agencies.
  • Conduct telephone-based and on-site consultations to prospective students and parents on their educational goals.
  • Review programs with parents/student and advise them on admission requirements
  • Ensure that all admission paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Re-engage students who left the program and assist with getting the student educational support.
  • Attend regularly scheduled internal meetings to monitor enrollment goals, review policy and procedures, and develop new strategies for recruitment.
  • Analyze recruitment and retention data and make strategic recommendations to the Principal and Leadership Team.
  • Maintain and monitor Under 16 process, including CPS network outreach and follow-up with prospective students.
  • Monitor physical attendance and enter center-wide data into Aspen daily.
  • Monitor Dashboard Attendance data quality to eliminate reporting errors.
  • Maintain regular lines of communication with compliance department to ensure accuracy of student data and enrollment in both internal/external SIS platforms.
  • Create Pathways In Education IL social media postings on a regular basis.
  • Maintain database of outreach efforts.
  • Travel on behalf of the school for recruitment and other school related events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Displays an organized and results-oriented approach, and motivation to perform without extensive direction.
  • Displays high quality of work and level of accuracy.
  • Ability to travel and work alternate hours including weekend and evenings as necessary.
Education and Experience:
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing and be able to speak publicly.
  • Possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Gmail Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
