We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our outpatient treatment center office team. The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of the office. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical fron office settings and familiar with HIPAA regulations.
```Duties:```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring necessary items are stocked
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
```Experience:```
- Previous experience in a office setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
