Job Description
Summit Funding in Sacramento, CA is hiring! We are now recruiting candidates for a Loan Partner/Loan Officer Assistant to join our team.
An exciting opportunity for an outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, aspiring professional who is interested in growing in the world of mortgage and finance. The Loan Partner is a pivotal role that provides administrative and marketing support to the busy producing Loan Officer helps them grow their business, and assists in making the borrower's dream of homeownership a reality.
Starting pay rate ranges between $22 to $28/hr DOE and includes the potential to earn monthly bonuses based on production
What you would be doing:
- Manage your Loan Officer's calendar, keeping them on schedule and on task.
- Monitor and manage communication on behalf of the Loan Officer as needed.
- Source, track and follow up with leads, schedule and confirm appointments with borrowers and referral partners.
- Prepare potential borrowers before they come in to meet with the Loan Officer.
- Send out thank you correspondence to borrowers and referral partners on the Loan Officer's behalf.
- Assist with marketing responsibilities including managing their database of referral partners, initiating and executing marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Loan Officer to come up with new, creative, unique ideas for marketing campaigns.
- Maintain office supplies in stock including Summit marketing brand kits and team merch.
- Manage and update social media sites and marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate Happy Hour, Lunch and Learn and other events with clients, referral partners, vendors and internal team members.
- Assist the Loan Officer with putting together loan applications.
Additional Responsibilities if NMLS Licensed:
- Prequalify clients to include discussing, rates, terms and/or financial options.
- Call and obtain conditions from borrowers and Realtors. Clear any conditions that require communication with the clients.
- Meet with clients to sign Loan Applications and Disclosures.
- With new contracts, facilitate the introduction to Realtors via e-mail and facilitate a call from the Loan Officer to ensure positive customer service for our new clients.
- Understand and research all investor guidelines and stay up to date on any and all program changes that affect the processing or originating of loans in the pipeline.
- Submit complete files to processing based on Investor and/or AUS requirements to get ready for submission to Corporate.
- Communicate loan approval by sending pre-approval/commitment letters to all parties involved in the transaction.
- Send out correspondence - Thank you cards, Closing Cost Calculators, etc.
- Coordinate Closing details with Client - Final Payment, rate, Cash to Close, etc.
- Quote interest rates and lock loans.
- Solve escrow issues without involving the Loan Officer.
- Review all closing statements, compare to signed CD before signings and correct discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in mortgage processing, underwriting, originating or combination of all aspects experience preferred.
- Registered and licensed through NMLS a plus
- Proficient in DU/DO, LP, & major Origination systems.
- Proficient with major correspondent and wholesale channels and their guidelines, including their websites and pricing engines.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required in the office.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated and require minimal supervision.
