We are searching for a reliable Office Assistant to help with our accounting firm’s daily routines as well as completing multiple projects to meet various deadlines throughout the year. This is NOT a secretarial position where you just manage phones and file paperwork; although you will assist with that on a daily basis. Your work will help assist our Municipal Advisors and Accountants with projects that will have a tremendous impact on multiple communities. Your day-to-day routine will consist of EXCEL accounting data entry, updating various EXCEL documents, converting documents to PDF, reviewing and responding to emails, working with numerous state and local government agencies in analyzing data, as well as assisting community officials with various reports. The position will require a tremendous amount of data entry so being VERY proficient in EXCEL, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF, is paramount! Any State Board of Accounts (SBOA) experience is a plus!

Benefits:

COVID-19 considerations:
Common surfaces are sanitized regularly. You are provided cleaning/sanitizing supplies. Individual office space with door for social distancing.
Knowledge of Financial/Municipal Advisory services a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Ability to multi-task and work in large volume, small office setting (five or less people).
- Be a positive professional with a solid work history demonstrating computer skills, phone skills and punctual attendance
- Work on multiple tasks simultaneously while switching between task as needed
- Manage highly confidential information and sensitive data. (Must sign agreement)
- Review numerous, large reports for grammar and formatting errors
- Reviews and answers correspondence as appointed and/or directed, incl. via phone and email
- Project follow-ups with outside attorney’s and engineers, as required, ensuring responsibilities are met in a timely manner.
- Accurate data entry, math and spelling skills a must
- Typing, computer skills related to word-processing and/or spreadsheets, and communication skills
- Prepare correspondence, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, maintain materials, update files, forms and reports and combine into PDF format.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of work materials while following office and SEC policies and procedures
- Must have a comfort level with following step-by-step procedures by memory or written form
Skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office ESPECIALLY Excel, with a working knowledge of Word and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
