WHY THIS JOB IS IMPORTANT TO US:
You will work with limited direct supervision to keep every aspect of our business operations humming like a well-oiled machine supporting all business development and sales initiatives, solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists, and identifying/implementing the necessary process and/or systems to achieve a defined outcome.
- The range of tasks is wide and diverse; this includes handling recurring, critical daily/weekly/monthly accounting functions (e.g., accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, account reconciliation, etc.), and assisting our internal and external stakeholders with special processing or project work.
- At the customer level, business support activities include responding to phone inquiries, opening/logging mail/parcels, maintaining timely, accurate, and confidential files/records/reports and database entries, assisting with account opening, servicing, payment, and closing processes according to established company procedures and performing other duties, as assigned.
- Other primary duties include masterful management of the planning, coordination, compliance, and administrative details associated with shipping and receiving to ensure the efficient movement and delivery of products in and out of our facility and effective inventory management to contain costs and maintain the correct amount of stock is on hand to meet changing business needs.

- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree or a more advanced degree in business administration or a related field of study is a definite plus.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in a accounting, sales support or customer service role is highly desired, but not required.
- Must possess “Day 1” proficiency with Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office, including Excel (e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup,etc.) and working knowledge of general office equipment, coupled with the interest and ability to quickly develop proficiency with other high-tech software and systems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage work requests from multiple sources and meet deadlines; superior time management skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including mastery of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and tone are required.
- Trustworthiness and maintaining confidentiality of customer and business matters is a key responsibility.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with others, especially using digital, phone, and video technologies, like Zoom.
- Ability to work independently, learn new skills quickly, and take initiative.
- If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures, safety requirements, and other prescribed best practices/industry standards.
- Ability to flex work hours as needed to meet time-critical business needs.
- Requires a valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and the ability to drive to and from prospective and current accounts or other business engagements, as needed. Must also be able to travel by common carrier air or train and infrequently stay overnight for business (e.g. for tradeshows).

The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office, temperature-controlled setting. The person holding this job is constantly required to talk, hear, stand, or sit for extended periods while using a computer, telephone, or other productivity devices to communicate with others and conduct business. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, use their arms and legs and move their whole body and balance, walk, stoop, maneuver, carry, lift, push, pull, and occasionally move materials/objects weighing between 10-20 pounds, seldom more than 50 pounds. This role requires frequent use of fingers and hands to handle, feel, or operate objects such as computer keyboards and other office equipment or audio/video/telecommunications equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision), the ability to identify deviations and differences from an established tolerance or standard and adjust focus between objects, materials, colors, and textures.
