Job Description
Russo’s On The Bay is searching for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As the Human Resources Generalist, you will work full-time and report to the Director of Human Resources, while also collaborating with the Front Of House Service Director. Your role will involve managing all administrative functions for both offices. With minimal supervision, you will have the freedom to use your initiative and independent judgment, as well as exercise discretion while supporting recruitment and onboarding, training and development, payroll, and benefits administration. You will work closely with all members of the organization to achieve the goals and objectives of both departments.
General HR Responsibilities
- Assist in the onboarding process by handling recruitment, posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding paperwork for all new hires in the company.
- Set up Employees in ADP Workforce Now and TimePro, including finger ID set up.
- Assist with weekly payroll processing related to time-off approvals, compensation and benefit deductions changes.
- Create and maintain accurate digital and hard copy personnel records.
- Support staff members who have HR-related issues and concerns, such as compensation, benefits, vacation, misconduct, and problem resolution.
- Assist in handling employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Provide assistance with assigned offboarding tasks, such as processing terminations in ADP Workforce Now and TimePro, reviewing resignation letters, and supporting managers and Directors with offboarding responsibilities.
- Periodically purge employee records.
- Support the development and delivery of HR-related training programs.
- Ensure compliance with all personnel Federal, State, and Local forms and policies.
Front of House (FOH) Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain proper attendance records for all FOH staff at Check-In prior to a scheduled event.
- Address any punctuality concerns that may arise directly with staff members.
- Ensure proper uniforms are distributed, and properly worn, per service manual when FOH staff is reporting to an event.
- ·Field main phone lines for FOH staff message activity related to attendance and scheduling conflicts. When necessary, support with rearrangement of FOH staff schedule.
- Assist with weekly scheduling of all FOH staff positions on TimePro.
- Generate daily attendance reports with concerns and organize staff performance notes for Front of House management weekly meeting.
- Inform Managers & Human Resources when an employee needs to be contacted regarding corrective action.
- Support the Offices in other assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a service-oriented team.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Knowledge of TimePro, MailChimp (preferred).
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Schedule: Wednesday – Friday 11am to 7pm, Saturday, Sunday 10am to 5pm (Working hours may be subject to change due to events)
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Work is completed in office environment. Approximately 80% is desk/office based, 20% standing, walking, bending. The job may require extended and varying work hours to meet demands.
