Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in plumbing under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
Duties Description • Perform journey level work in the primary trade of plumbing and performs skilled and semi-skilled levels of work in carpentry, electrical and masonry in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.• Repair, maintain, and install various plumbing fixtures and appliances such as sinks, showers, toilets, urinals, drinking fountains, hot water appliances, etc.• Repair, maintain, and install water distribution lines, sewer infrastructure components, and natural gas or propane supply lines.• Repair, maintain, and install HVAC appliances, components, and systems.• Plumbing duties will include project planning, lay out procedures, blueprint reading, purchasing and overall coordination of assigned projects.• Perform carpentry duties such as blocking, framing, repair, and trim work.• Complete basic electric duties including changing devices, installing controls, and fixture installation.• Execute masonry work such as concrete demolition and pouring slabs.• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including dump trucks, aerial trucks, loaders and similar construction equipment.• Daily supervision of other permanent and seasonal staff will be required along with training of such staff.
