Network Engineer

Position Summary

• Network engineer responsibilities include the necessary network skills to maintain network performance, implement and oversee the computer networks that support the hospital’s local voice, data, video and wireless network services. This role maintains network configurations/connections, troubleshoot network problems, support IP address auditing, define documentation and enforces standards. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and support of the security of the network infrastructure

    • Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training

    • 3-5 or more
• 
  License, Registry or Certification:
  • Required:
    • None
  • Preferred:
    • Network+, CCNA
• 
  Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
  • Required:
    • Strong computer troubleshooting skills
  • Preferred:
    • Familiarity with OSI model (Open Systems Interconnection), specifically how it relates to client / server troubleshooting.
      Knowledgeable on Cisco UCC
