The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall well-being of our students. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong educational background as well as experience working with developmentally disabled individuals. The Lead Teacher will assist with training new teachers, assessing classroom needs and creating innovative lesson plans. The successful candidate for this position will enjoy a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation and sick days.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students.
- Teach students by directing and participating in group discussions.
- Give feedback to students.
- Ensure that students are engaged in their education.
- Coach teachers on effective teaching strategies.
- Supervise other teachers in their areas of expertise.
- Write lesson plans.
- Teach new teachers how to be effective classroom instructors.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
