Network Administrator

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Network Administrator located in Eagan, MN in support of the Postal ETS program.  This successful candidate will augment the Network team and work with application owners to administer and troubleshoot load balance technologies such as F5 and Citrix on various projects. The selected candidate should also be experienced with hosting SSL certificates on Citrix NetScaler and other load balancer platforms. Candidate should be able to design and maintain complex network architectures. We are looking for a team player that can exercise independent judgement with minimal direction from supervisor.

 

Note: Resource must be available to work onsite at client facility in Eagan, MN or Raleigh, NC. No remote work.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

• Configure, administer, document custom load balancing (F5/Citrix) technology solutions
• High level troubleshooting of network and application issues
• DNS, ADC, and CDN WAF administration
• Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases
• Interacts with multiple internal application teams to create customized load balancing solutions

Qualifications

Basic Qualfications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience or Master's degree with 6 years experience or HS Diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder (Must resided with the U.S. for the past 5 years with no more than 6 months outside travel of the U.S during this time frame)
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• 10+ years IT experience required, minimum 5 years in Load Balancing technology and DNS
• Extensive knowledge of Load balancing technology including algorithms and health check options
• Extensive knowledge and experience with hosting SSL certificates on Citrix NetScaler and F5 platforms
• Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler responder policy configuration, Citrix NetScaler Access Gateway configurations, Citrix NetScaler content switching configurations, Citrix NetScaler VIP configuration with health check
• Citrix application configuration, integration, and administration expertise
• Experience with F5 load balancer administration
• Strong understanding of TLS1.2+ and SSL Encryption
• Knowledge of TCP, understanding network and application traffic flows
• Experience in load balancing techniques including detailed health checking, detailed rewrites and responder policies, Citrix gateway, AAA auth, WAF, OTP and balancing algorithms
• Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues including IPv6
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Manages time effectively, creative thinking skills, detail-oriented personality, proven ability to multi-task
• Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with colleagues

• Demonstrate strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas.
• Technical expertise is sought after and provided to several projects/accounts.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and discipline area.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of corporate organization and policies.
• Advanced level business, technical, or functional knowledge.
• Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows
• Strong understanding of understanding of GSLB, HTTP compression/caching, and DNS
• Proficient with application layer protocols - HTTP, SSH, SSL, etc.

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
