We are looking for a Network Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure international multi-site landscape hosted in a Cloud Service environment. As a Network Administrator you will configure, deploy, and maintain the corporate network including both software and hardware firewalls, switches, and routers. You will also monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and identify and evaluate new technologies, collaborate with other team members to complete tasks. This is going to be a contract to hire or direct hire located onsite in West Chicago, IL.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting multi-site environments.
- Experience with IT change management and governance methodologies (ITIL, Dev Ops or equivalent)
- Ability to provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex problem solving, and experience maintaining clear, concise documentation and network diagrams.
- Strong networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) and experience managing Cisco technology (Firewalls, Routers, Switches), LAN, WAN and WIFI technologies, including secure remote access.
- Implement, manage, and monitor resources in cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, multi-cloud hybrid environments. Includes upgrades, migrations, resource management, host and hosted, guest creation and deletion, snapshot management.
- Experience with storage networks and Backup/DR solutions hosted on-premises or in the cloud.
- Experience implementing security policies and managing security tools (reacting to incident alerts and working with security providers)
- Ability to collaborate working cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives and gains trust and support from others.
- Must have a strategic mindset to anticipate future trends and implications accurately and can articulate credible pictures and visions of possibilities that will create a sustainable value.
- Must be tech savvy and be able to anticipate impact of emerging technologies and scan the environment for new technical skills, knowledge, or capabilities that can benefit the business.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
