JOB DESCRIPTION
MORTGAGE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for completing Mortgage System department regular routine tasks, for example, generating and distributing reports, monitoring requests received in HLCHelpDesk and over the phone. Responsible for maintaining current mortgage technology systems, including Encompass and Blend. Responsible for assisting with onboarding and rolling out new technology. Provides training and ongoing support for users of mortgage technology. Mortgage Systems user admin of Encompass, Blend and various systems.
JOB DUTIES:
- Displays original thinking and creativity. Develop innovative approaches and ideas.
- Create training materials that maximize user adoption
- Train employees in mortgage technology. Acts as password administrator for mortgage technology systems. Creates accounts for new users
- Design and implement approved change requests for Encompass and other systems by creating, manage and maintaining or enhancing system settings, custom forms, loan program template sets, basic and advanced input forms, basic and advanced business rules
- Mastery of Business Rules: Field Triggers, Field Data Entry, Milestone Completion, DDM
- Mastery of Custom Form, eDisclosure and Closing Plan Code
- Mastery of Encompass Admin Tools: Settings Manager, Reporting Database
- Mastery of Encompass Loan Program Template, Closing Cost Template and Loan Template Set
- Experience with maintaining Testing/Production Encompass environments using Admin Tools, specifically Settings Sync Tool
- Complete QA Testing
- Complete technical analysis and optimize existing Loan Origination System and tools to improve user workflows, efficiency and experience
- Serve as subject matter expert for Encompass with internal business stakeholders
- Ensure Encompass is functioning consistently in accordance with applicable laws and regulations relating to the mortgage lending industry and information security
- Remain up to date on key Encompass trends and methodologies
- Remain up to date on forthcoming ICE Mortgage Technology initiatives
- Remain up to date on vendor integrations that align with business needs
- Work with the applicable department to offer areas of improvement and best practices
- Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards and continually seek ways to improve data quality and productivity
- Monitor requests received in HLCHelpDesk and over the phone. Provide interdepartmental support by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and determining solutions
- Effectively resolve day-to-day system issues independently or working with team members and 3rd party vendors
- Review system release notes, organize task force meetings, and manage release updates
- Learn and maintain knowledge for all Mortgage Systems, including but not limited to Encompass, Blend, Reggora, Optimal Blue, Lenderlogix, Kensie Mae Tools, and other software/vendors integrated with Encompass
- Own complex projects/problems from problem definition to final recommendation and execution
- Participate or lead projects to make new update/improvement rollouts, end-user training, etc
- Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
- Provide assistance to Mortgage Systems Manager as assigned. All other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field Preferred/ Certified Encompass Administrator Preferred
Skills: Excellent communication, effective listening, organizational and task management skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good computer skills; attention to details, fast learner, self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team environment.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Encompass Administration and working knowledge of additional software/vendors that integrate with Encompass is required.
