Job Description

Our IT Systems Administrator is a critical contributor to our entire company. With The Pond Guy’s focus on continuous improvement, there are many opportunities for learning along the way. This position requires exceptional customer service ability to assess needs, define requirements, manage tasks, and prioritize work. There is a family dynamic at TPG, Inc. that extends to the customer as we strive to give them the highest quality service.

To support the Tribe with all hardware, software, and network needs, the SysAdmin role is a mostly onsite position with some off-site flexibility.

Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include:

• Redefine our suite of tools and processes for monitoring, maintaining, and notifying in terms of servers, cloud systems and onsite infrastructure, security, and BCP/DRP
• Package software to deploy to endpoints via endpoint management software (i.e., Intune)
• Provide accurate and on-time deployment of workstations and accounts to employees
• End-user education and assistance for technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
• Support patch management of operating systems and 3rd party applications on endpoints
• Ensure security policy compliance across various IT security platforms
• Ensure that all support requests are logged, monitored, and resolved within established service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Provide after-hours troubleshooting support and assistance as necessary
• Collect feedback from users to identify opportunities for improvement

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to relate to non-technical people and work as part of a team

• Intermediate to Expert experience supporting the following endpoint technologies:
• Office 365/M365 (Office, Teams, OneDrive, Defender, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
• MS Windows/Mac clients in an enterprise setting
• Network administration, including firewalls (e.g., PaloAlto, Fortinet, Cisco)
• 2+ years’ experience deploying software/patching endpoint devices via endpoint management software (i.e., Intune)
• Experience with security tools such as Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access / Zero Trust, MFA, SSO, and other security configurations
• Experience building, configuring, and monitoring all types of endpoints, including laptops, servers, firewalls, tablets, handheld devices, printers, and wireless access points
• Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, preferably within Azure
• Knowledge of one or more of the following: RMM, EDR, SIEM
• Technical Certifications a plus (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, ITIL, PMP)
• Ability to diagnose and problem-solve using organizational and time-management skills

This position requires manual dexterity for typing, remaining stationary at a desk, and monitoring a computer screen for long periods. In addition, portions of the position may include shadowing other departments that may require physical activity, including lifting 25-35 pounds and standing for long periods of time.

We need a Systems Administrator with a positive attitude for whom the words “can't” and “impossible” are not a part of your vocabulary. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks.

Availability

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend hours will be required for projects that must be done outside regular business hours. During peak season, flexibility in scheduling will be required.

This is a full-time salaried position starting at $70-80k/year plus benefits, including:
