Medical Secretary

At Bedford Regional Urology, the Medical Secretary supports all clinical and administrative activities. This includes creating and filing patient documents, handling phone calls, greeting patients, scheduling, registering patients, preparing reports and documents, and assisting with other various tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with scheduling at our Bedford Regional offices.
• Interact with patients, practitioners, and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Enter patient information into the EMR system for scheduling and registration purposes.
• Carry out front desk duties such as greeting patients, answering phone calls and relaying messages as appropriate, and manage patient registration process.
• Administer various registration forms to patients/caregivers.
• File/scan patient documents.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Assist with various billing needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Medical Secretary or Medical Assisting certification
• Previous experience in scheduling/billing preferred
• Previous experience as a Medical Secretary and/or medical assistant
