Medical Records Clerk

Summary: The Medical Records Clerk will assist the legal team with contacting clients and assist with collecting patient records and filing correct documents within the database system.

ESSENETIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Requesting Medical Records for the firms’ clients and entering detailed notes in the database.

· Following up to ensure that Medical Records are received and properly uploaded into the database system.

· Assist with client retention and file transfer activities, obtaining relevant files, and preparing documents.

· Added clerical duties as needed.

· Completing monthly expense report for medical record bills

· Customer service skills to make prospective clients feel welcome.

· Strong written and oral communication skills to explain next steps and compose client files for the legal team.

· Organizational skills to keep track of prospective clients’ contact and medical case information.

· Multitasking ability to move quickly from one inquiry to another.

· Be proficient in Microsoft office and/or google suite applications.

· Organization and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
