CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLIANCE STATEMENT:
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Perform record storage, retrieval, and filing process to ensure the collection and dissemination of patient health information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retrieve, disseminate, and file patient records and reports to ensure availability of patient medical information in compliance with quality performance standards.
- Perform the record completion process, as applicable, to ensure collection of patient health information.
- Meet standards established by supervisor to ensure efficient work flow for the department.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and think logically.
- Must possess keen visual and hearing abilities.
- Manual dexterity (i.e. keying information into computer system, manipulating a light pen or bar code reader).
- Ability to perform functions encountered during daily work (i.e. bending, stooping, sitting long periods, pushing a cart, walking stairs, lifting between 20-30 pounds).
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Must be neat and professional in appearance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED is desired. Efficient clerical skills, medical terminology, familiarity with alphabetical and numerical filing system and basic computer functions and capabilities required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Will occasionally need to lift/carry Medical Records weighing up to ten (20-30) pounds.
Normal work hours for this position are Monday through Friday dayshift, unless otherwise specified by management staff.
