Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical reception and assisting in a medical office setting. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional patient service.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

- Answer phone calls and inquiries, providing accurate information or directing calls to the appropriate staff member.

- Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of time slots
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays.

- Maintain patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Assist with medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.

Skills:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems, such as Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
