As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. ```Duties:```
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records systems (eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, Epic)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on test results
- Provide support to medical staff as needed
```Qualifications:```
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, Epic)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
