Job Description for Medical Front Desk/Insurance

Responsibilities:

-Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional matter

-Schedule and confirm patient appointments

-Collect and update patient information in system

-Collect insurance information and make copies of insurance cards

-Answer phone call and respond to inquires

-Assist with insurance verification and billing processes

-Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality

-Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers

-Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

-Ensure the reception area is clean and organized

Requirements:

-Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred

-Knowledge of medical office procedure and terminology

-Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or similar

platforms

-Strong organizational and multitasking skills

-Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

-Must be HIPPA compliant

Job type: Part time

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour

Expected hours 24 – 30 per week
