Busy Walnut Creek oncology practice is seeking an EXPERIENCED Medical Receptionist. This position will be responsible for assisting extremely busy front office including:
- Answering high volume of incoming calls and directing appropriately.
- Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating referral appointments.
- Checking patients in and out.
- Answering incoming calls.
- Assisting patients with scheduling, answering questions, and co-pays.
- Scanning patient medical records into EMR system.
- Reviewing daily EMR audit and billing reports for accuracy, investigating discrepancies.
- Fulfilling requests for medical records.
To qualify for this position, you MUST have:
- 2+ years MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST experience required
- 2+ years experience in an acute care practice (oncology a plus).
- Previous experience working with medical records.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Front Office Medical Assistant program (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology terminology.
- Proven ability to multi-task.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
