Medical Receptionist

Growing dermatology practice is seeking a personable, reliable, and intelligent candidate with strong leadership traits who is committed to providing high-quality patient services. The main location for this position will be Munster/Dyer, Indiana, and flexibility is required in the schedule to commute to other locations as needed as we provide care from Munster, Dyer, Demotte, and Valparaiso in Northwest Indiana. The candidate must convey maturity, a positive attitude, and a professional image. They will need the ability to take direction and be comfortable handling diverse tasks within a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities utilizing the electronic medical record (EMR) include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service

Processing Patients

Verifying Information/Insurance

Checking In & Out

Scheduling

Managing Provider Schedules

Collecting payments

Answering Phones

Scanning

Faxing

Mailing correspondence

Requirements to be considered for this position, a candidate must have:

Previous healthcare experience with a minimum of 1-year medical office

Excellent communication skills

Experience working with an electronic medical records (EMR) and Scheduling System Referral, insurance, and billing knowledge

Contribute to a positive team environment and be open to feedback

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain organization in a high-volume environment

Good time management skills

Maintain a calm demeanor and attention to detail during periods of high patient volume
