Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical scheduling systems and possess strong administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule patient appointments using medical scheduling systems
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems (such as Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, Epic, Dentrix)
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and tidy
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling systems and electronic medical record systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Pay: $17.67 - $19.00 per hour
