Job Overview:
We are seeking a well-rounded, energetic, friendly and reliable individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist in our Audiology private practice. The ideal candidate has previous experience answering telephones. scheduling appointments a Medical Receptionist. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in our small but busy private practice. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and make phone calls to our existing patients and schedule appointments using BluePrint or similar scheduling systems
- Collect patient information and update medical records accurately
- Check patients in and out, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience as an Audiology, Dental, Optometry or Medical Receptionist is preferred
- Commitment to continuous improvement; willingness to grow and learn new skills
- Familiarity with health insurance terminology
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical scheduling procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
