We are seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare professionals. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will contribute to the smooth operation of our medical facility.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff
- Verify patient information and update medical records
- Collect patient co-pays and process insurance information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role is preferred
- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling, record keeping, and data entry
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
