Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing phone systems, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a medical office or similar environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks as assigned
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Follow office policies and procedures to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or radiology setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or similar software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
