As a Medical Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing opening and closing procedures of the clinic.
- Handling incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, efficiently scheduling appointments and addressing patient inquires.
- Registering new patients and updating existing patient information as required.
- Verifying insurance coverage and confirming patient eligibility, ensuring all necessary referrals and authorizations are obtained.
- Collecting copayments and accurately processing payments.
- Handling medical records requests efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Organizing and filing documents into patient charts, utilizing electronic systems where applicable.
- Coordinating with medical staff to obtain necessary test results and prepare for upcoming appointments.
- Creating and maintaining daily appointment schedules to optimize patient flow.
- Proactively reaching out to patients to schedule appointments based on received referrals.
- Renaming and filing patient and clinic documents.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Ideally, 1-3 years of experience in a medical setting, although we welcome applicants with a strong desire to learn and grow in the role.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with various insurance providers.
- Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute, ensuring efficient data entry.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- A demonstrated work ethic with a track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, contributing to the success of our team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
