Skin Synthesis is looking for a passionate and experienced full-time Medical Receptionist who is interested in joining a growing collaborative practice.

Who we seek? We are seeking a Medical Receptionist who is passionate about people and providing a luxury boutique experience to our patients. Position Overview:
The Medical Receptionist primary responsibility is to provide excellence in patient care, conforming to licensing requirements and standards, in accordance with the philosophy of Skin Synthesis. In addition, the candidate will participate in customer service, including but not limited to, checking patients in & out of appointments, taking clinical photographs, answering incoming calls, processing payments, aiding in scheduling/re-booking, selling skincare products, and assisting with marketing. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean, stocked, & safe clinic environment, in support of Skin Synthesis’ mission and core values. The candidate may assist the providers with setting up for aesthetic injectable & skincare procedures and other clinical services.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients as they enter Skin Synthesis and introduce them to the practice and providers.
- Perform receptionist duties including answering patient phone calls/emails, scheduling, taking payment, and other duties as assigned.
- Serve as initial contact for all new patient inquires.
- Develop and maintain internal patient databases; identify target patients for emailing and phone calls.
- Review pricing and/or financing options with patients.
- Facilitate scheduling future appointments.
- Send check-in emails/texts to patients following aesthetic treatments.
- Provide high quality patient education to patients using Skin Synthesis Practice Manuals.
- Assist with patient intake forms in the electronic medical record.
- Successful skincare product sales.
- Competently use Microsoft Office (proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel), electronic medical record system, and possess the ability to learn new technologies.
- Participate in social media and clinic marketing/outreach.
- Other special projects or tasks as assigned.

- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of all Skin Synthesis’ medical protocols, standard operating procedures, and policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing clinical policies/procedures and suggests improvements.
- Participate in meetings, conferences/seminars, promotional events, trainings and other educational and business events on a regular basis.
- Commit to achieving established clinic goals provided by the practice manager and the owner.
- Collaborate with all medspa teammates to ensure the growth of the business and the integrity of the Skin Synthesis’ mission and vision.

Education/Training:
- High school diploma required; some college coursework in healthcare or business preferred.
- Must have and maintain a current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting with preferred education and experience in a dermatology, plastic surgery, or medical spa office.
- Customer service or leadership experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 30 pounds.
Exposure to Hazards:
Exposure to chemicals and disinfectants. Exposure to bodily fluids, latex, as well as a risk to exposure of Infectious Disease.
Vaccination:
Skin Synthesis is consistent with state public health orders and policies, requiring employees to show proof vaccination. Medical and religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine are available to those who qualify. Employees who have approved exemptions must follow additional protocols where required, such as enhanced COVID-19 testing, mandatory vaccine-related education/discussions, and/or other infection prevention requirements in accordance with company policy, CDC or state and local public health government orders.
