Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our ophthalmology practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting patient information, and providing administrative support to the medical staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, an understanding of medical terminology, and experience with electronic health records systems.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and confirm appointments with patients.
• Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate patient records and files.
• Collect payments from patients and enter data into the system.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization for services.
• Provide information about ophthalmology services, procedures, and fees.
