Medical Receptionist

Pazona MD is a leading urology practice, proudly serving middle Tennessee. We are actively seeking a Medical Receptionist or medical assistant to join our growing team.

As a Medical Receptionist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
• Handle incoming and outgoing emails and phone calls professionally and on time.
• Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
• Greet patients and address any initial inquiries or concerns.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Provide prompt responses to patient inquiries
• Enter relevant data into medical systems and update patient information as required.
• Monitor patient progress and assist in tracking and documenting treatment plans.
• Support physicians and other healthcare professionals, collaborating effectively with the entire team.
• Schedule appointments between patients and medical staff.
• Assist in medical billing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing guidelines.
• Manage patient follow-up care, coordinating with physicians and scheduling necessary appointments.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient information at all times.
• Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience as a medical assistant or Medical Receptionist.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Medical software and technology proficiency, including virtual communication tools and electronic health record systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
• Good customer service mentality, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in patient interactions.
