SalaryThe Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services.

We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our Front Desk Receptionist role at our Optometry clinic. Please note: this role requires an applicant to be bilingual (English/Spanish). This position reports to the Director of Optometry and is a Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt role with a startinghourly rate range of $23.75 to $27.00with full benefits.
Primary Objective: Under the supervision of the Director of Optometry, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for a wide range of administrative duties. The occupant of this position requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to multi-task, the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and intermediate/advanced computer skills.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer phone calls, manage the office calendar
- Assist with patient scheduling, check in, check out
- Maintain efficient patient flow
- Verify insurance and obtain insurance authorizations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual - Spanish/English
- 2 years Medical Office experience preferred
- Detail oriented with accurate record keeping
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills
