Position: Front Office Medical Receptionist
Summary:
The Front Office Medical Receptionist plays a pivotal role as the initial point of contact for our plastic surgery practice, shaping our first impression. The position demands a professional demeanor, positive energy, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. While not operating as a call center, the successful candidate will engage with patients and prospective patients for approximately 60% of their workday.
Responsibilities include responding to inquiries from prospective patients through various communication channels (telephone/email/texting), addressing queries on offered treatments, associated costs, scheduling consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments. Coordinating necessary studies and lab work for procedures, as well as scheduling patients at surgery centers or hospitals, are essential components of the role. Additionally, the Front Office Medical Receptionist is responsible for ongoing patient communication throughout their journey within our practice.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Superior communication skills in both spoken and written forms.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, Excel, and email.
- Fluency in Spanish.
Duties may encompass:
- Answering and directing phone calls, texts, and emails.
- Collecting payments for services and products.
- Discussing financing options with patients (e.g., Cherry, CareCredit, or Alphaeon).
- Scheduling new patients and post-procedure appointments.
- Scanning/faxing medical records as needed.
- Educating patients about products and services.
- Initiating orders/referrals for required services such as mammograms, physical therapy, and lymphatic massage.
- Performing other assigned duties to support the team.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
