Medical Front Desk Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: We are a busy cardiology group who is hiring a Front Desk receptionist to travel between our Macon and Griffin locations. If you are a team player this is the place for you. You must have minimum of 3 years Medical Front office experience to be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greets and directs all patients within the practice

· Obtains patient demographics and verifies insurance

· Collects co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance at time of service. Some basic knowledge of health insurance is preferred.

· Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR.

· Schedules any necessary appointments after completion of patient visit.

· Monitor, review, and do reminder calls for all upcoming appointments.

. Verify that all information has been entered in correctly

· Checks fax inbox through eCW

. Prepares end of day deposit and report.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of experience in medical office setting.
• Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with patients, office staff and others in a clear, positive, and professional manner.
• Ability to interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of software programs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR system is a plus

This position requires travel to cover our other locations in Warner Robins, Milledgeville, Griffin, and Dublin. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
