We are seeking Experienced Medical Receptionists as we continue to grow our company. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. This position will be responsible for providing patient care and ensuring the smooth operation for the practice.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointments in Mod Med
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in system
- Respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical records management for new and established patients
- Coordinate referrals to healthcare providers
- Ensure billing can be processed timely and accurately
- Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles at the time of visit and in accordance with practice policies and patient insurance guidelines
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Assists physician and staff in coordinating patient care
- Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physician.
Requirements:
- Medical Office Experience Required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical record systems
- Experience with Medical Software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
