Livonia Dermatology is an ever-growing, state of the art facility. Patients are seen by one of our 2 board certified physicians on staff when the patient is available, not the doctor. The nurses, Medical Assistants and front desk, work together as a team to make this happen and be successful.We are constantly growing and are always looking for nurses who are interested in stepping out of the hospitals and into a more personalized, family environment which offers greater flexibility, no work on holidays or evenings, and the opportunity to expand one’s knowledge of dermatology.
Specific job duties include:
- Perform advance clinical tasks and procedures as directed by the physician
- Maintain a good workflow and meet expectations of patients
- Ensure office schedule/physician remains on time
- Responsible for patient education, giving verbal instructions, explaining and recommending products, discussing medications, wound care and answering patient questions
- Set up and prep for MOHS, surgeries and assist with removals
- Assist with procedures, injections/local anesthesia per physician instructions
- Able to identify/assess the need for physician involvement or a potential change in plan of care
- Organize and prepare exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking and
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the course of the position
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her specific needs, providing the appropriate care needed
- Interact well with patients, having the ability to make them feel comfortable and confident with you
- Perform other duties as assigned
