Our organization is launching a Medical Administrative Assistant. We acknowledge sometimes it's difficult to get your foot in the door. Most importantly, you must have a passion for healthcare and helping people navigate our complicated healthcare system.

Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner.
Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
Schedule appointments for patients and maintain appointment calendars.
Assist with medical billing and coding.
Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Obtain authorizations from insurance companies.
Calculate patient estimated cost based on benefit information.
Provide administrative support to physicians and other healthcare staff.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $20.00- $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
