A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ...
Guided by the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist at Girl Scouts of Utah will contribute to marketing endeavors by crafting compelling content (emails, newsletters, social media posts, etc.) tailored to connect with our desired audiences. Responsibilities include captivating potential and existing members, donors, volunteers, and the wider community through engaging narratives, impactful visuals, and proficient editing across online, print, and social platforms. This role plays a pivotal part in conveying the significance of Girl Scouts through graphic design, storytelling, and cohesive messaging strategies.
REQUIREMENTS FOR XXXX:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as graphic design, marketing, communications, etc.), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of graphic design experience, using InDesign
- Minimum of 1 year of related marketing experience.
- Proficiency in video editing.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in social media management and content creation.
- Ability to identify target audiences and develop engaging campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of web content management systems, with preference for experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with experience on the PC platform preferred.
- Experience in email marketing, familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud being advantageous.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and project management abilities, and a willingness to learn.
- Proficient in social media tools and analytics.
- Capable of receiving and implementing feedback effectively.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective interdepartmental relationships.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Collaborative, transparent, and inclusive work approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Technical understanding of publication production
- Girl Scout experience or knowledge is a plus!
